Squint Correction

  • Squint is also called strabismus where the eyes point in different directions.
  • Occurs particularly in young children but may also occur in adults.
  • The eyes may point inwards or outwards or also in different directions.
  • It can be associated with impaired vision, double vision, decreased depth perception , eye strain or headache.

Causes:

  • Congenital (since birth)
  • Hypermetropia
  • Childhood illnesses
  • Nerve damage etc.

Treatment can be done by:

Glasses, eye exercises, surgery, injections.
